Whether found in the mundane, every day human experience, in concealment, fantasy and abstraction, each artist in Issue P generates and manipulates imagery to gently insinuate and complicate our ideas regarding "truth."
Within this issue, we feature the work of Kent Henricksen, who intervenes in our cultural and political histories by altering found fabrics such as toile de Juoy prints, subtly shifting the original message; Barnaby Furnas, whose figurative paintings unveil the stark realities surrounding American society and personal narratives; and Suntek Chung, who turns the camera on himself in elaborately staged photographs in order to question identity politics and social clichés.
